Camey Elementary's Parent Involvement Commitment

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Camey Elementary is dedicated to providing quality education for every student on our campus through parent involvement. To accomplish this objective, Camey's staff members continually develop and maintain partnerships with parents and community members. Parents involved in the education of their children contribute greatly to student achievement and academic success by reinforcing their children's commitment to education.

Camey continually builds partnerships with parents to improve and support student academic achievement. The following list details parent involvement opportunities provided by the district and campus:

  • Building Leadership Team
  • Parent newsletters
  • Information on district and campus websites
  • Parent/Teacher conferences
  • Annual Title I parent meeting
  • Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
  • Field trip chaperones
  • Classroom volunteers
  • Grade level performances
  • Family curriculum nights
  • Open House

School/Parent Partnership Compact

Parents of students participating in Title I receive LISD's School Compact to enable the school personnel and parents to share responsibility for student performance and success. The compact explains how students, parents, and staff share responsibility for promoting student achievement. Members of the Building Leadership Team provide input in the design and implementation of the compact.

Parent involvement is essential in each child's educational process. Lewisville ISD personnel partner with families to ensure each child's academic success in mastering state and national standards.

● Treat others with respect and kindness

School Responsibilities:

Camey Elementary School will provide high‐quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables students to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards as follows:
